In 1942, Dominik “Opa” Stoltman arrived in Newmore at a time when the world was fractured and uncertain. What he carried with him could not be packed into a suitcase: resolve, work ethic, and a belief that tomorrow could be better than today. From those foundations, a family story began — one shaped by perseverance, humility, and quiet determination.

Twenty years of patient maturation have shaped this single grain Scotch whisky in the same way time shaped Opa’s legacy: steadily, purposefully, without haste. It is not a loud spirit, but a composed and confident one — layered, balanced, and assured.

Built on Resilience

This limited release was created in a collaboration between the Stoltman Brothers and Against the Grain Spirits.

Tom and Luke Stotlman's combined achievements as a three-time World's Strongest Man champion and two-time Europe's Strongest Man are extraordinary feats of strength. Yet this whisky speaks to something deeper: the inherited resilience that predates trophies, records, and arenas.

It is a tribute not only to physical power, but to the enduring character that shapes generations.

Tasting Notes

Rich and elegant, the nose opens with inviting layers of vanilla, toffee and toasted coconut. The palate is silky and rounded, revealing golden syrup sweetness balanced by soft oak. A smooth, warming finish follows, carrying soft nutmeg, toasted wood and a delicate thread of spice.
